Phillips Exeter Academy served as the setting for Hannah and David’s classic New England Wedding last weekend. The historic stone church on campus was timeless and elegant. Hannah and David were celebrated with the majestic sounds of the pipe organ, and the regal voice of Reverend Robert Thompson. His melodic, baritone voice quite literally brought me and several others to tears in the most beautiful way imaginable.

I don’t think it is possible for a bride to look more stunning than Hannah did on her wedding day, and the joy that radiated from both her and David was incredible to watch. I could not be more happy for these two!

When I first met Kayla and Nick, they had just gotten engaged and were bursting with excitement! We went to the spot where Nick had proposed, and had an incredible time. I loved getting to know these two!

Their bright and colorful wedding style fit their lighthearted, joyful personalities so perfectly! They had a fun and lively celebration on the farm, with their incredibly sweet friends and family. Not even the intense summer heat could stop everyone from truly enjoying the festivities! I hope you enjoy these photos, and you must check out the incredible grounds at Stone Brook Hill Farm! It was like a dream!

This weekend I shot a lovely wedding at the Manchester Country Club. It was filled to the brim with classic, elegant touches, and every time I turned my head I found myself saying “Oh, that’s my favorite!” From the sprigs of greenery swept across the beautifully calligraphed escort cards, to the blush accents amongst ivory bouquets, to the candle-lit centerpieces, every last flourish depicted timeless elegance.

I am always in awe of the way a couple’s love is so evident. It has a way of just radiating, and this is absolutely the case with Val and Doug! The sweet glances Doug gave his bride all night were heartwarming, and the way Val lit up when she saw her fiancé at the end of the aisle was endearing. Val and Doug, I am SO happy for you both, and I enjoyed every second of your wedding day! Congratulations!

Melissa and CJ celebrated their wedding with friends and family in the idyllic gardens of The Wolfeboro Inn. Although the forecast called for  a 70% chance of rain, by the afternoon the clouds disappeared and made way to perfect blue skies. There was not a single drop of rain on their wedding day! It was a perfect spring wedding on Lake Winnipesaukee, filled with pinks, greens, and baby’s breath. These two are so perfect together, and I can’t get over the sweet glances they shared in all the in-between moments of their wedding. This day depicts all the reasons so many brides dream of a spring wedding. Congratulations Melissa and CJ!

Your wedding day begins in the Bridal Room, as you and your bridesmaids get ready for the day. This is SUCH an exciting time, filled with laughter and friendship. Getting ready for your wedding day is a right of passage! As you prepare for the wedding day, and put together everything you will need, here is a wedding detail checklist, full of classic, timeless touches. These are the small cameos that make up the emotion and excitement going on in the bridal room, and when included in your wedding album, help to tell the whole story of the day for years to come.

The Dress and Veil: Be sure your bridal room has ample light and windows for natural light. This will show off your gown in the best way possible!

Wooden Hanger: This detail is SO easily overlooked! It’s such a small item, but truly makes a difference in showing off your stunning gown. Just like a Tiffany necklace deserves being presented in the iconic blue box, your wedding gown is worthy of an equally elegant display. For something unique, take a look at THESE HANGERS FROM BHLDN, AND THESE.

Bouquets: Be sure to have these ready in the bridal room. Not only will they be photographed here, but you will want them ready when we leave for your First Look and bridal party photos. If your florist has any left over clippings, these come in handy for photographing the invitations. An extra tip: plan to have some kind of towel or paper towel ready. Before picking up the bouquets, blot the stems so water doesn’t drip on your or your bridesmaid’s dresses!

Wedding Shoes: If you have more than one pair, have both on hand, but be sure to let me know which is your favorite so we get more photos of them!

Bridal Jewelry: This makes gorgeous heirloom photos!

Wedding-Details-Checklist

The Rings: All THREE of them! You will want your engagement ring, your wedding band, and your groom’s wedding band together in the bridal room. After photos are done, a bridesmaid can be appointed to get the bride’s wedding band to the groom for the ceremony. For an elegant touch, consider an heirloom ring box from The Mrs. Box.

Stationary: Any stationary and paper goods that coordinate makes a beautiful detail photo. Consider your invitation, RSVP card, programs, details card, and escort card, with all coordinating envelopes. Have the invitation envelope professionally calligraphed, and look for some vintage stamps to add from antique shops. If you’re still looking for your wedding invitations, check out Gus and Ruby Letterpress, located in Portsmouth, NH!

Matching Robes: This gives a polished look while you are hanging out and getting ready with your bridesmaids. Take a look at THESE.

Don’t Forget the Guys: If your timeline allows for photos of the guys getting ready, be sure to include things like cuff links, boutonnière, ties, the wedding vows, and even cigars or whiskey.
